THE HOUSES OF PARLIAMENT

The Palace of Westminster is a famous building in London. People also call it the Houses of Parliament. Two groups work there: the House of Lords and the House of Commons. People choose them in elections. Elections happen every 4 or 5 years. The job of Parliament is to make laws for the country. Big Ben is a very big bell inside the clock tower. The tower is part of the Houses of Parliament. People can hear the bell every hour.
